Dear Keynote Speakers, Thank you for taking the time to present your work at the 9th International BioBrillouin Conference in Berlin! Program: The schedule for your and other talks is now online and can be found at: https://www.biobrillouin25.com/program Please check the times of your talk – I hope they work for you! Note: a detailed program with titles of presentations etc., also of the posters, will be made available in the coming weeks (you will be informed as soon as available). In the next week there may still be small changes to the program (hopefully not), but of which we will notify you immediately. Presentation details: The length of all Keynote talks are 25min + 5min Q&A. (We got a lot more abstracts than expected, so had to compress everything a bit to not risk burn out and not drag thing out!) We do not require you to upload talks in advance - although this is an option. If you wish to please send a link from where we can download your talk e.g. via wetransfer (https://wetransfer.com) to soc25@biobrillouin.org and we will be sure to have it ready on one of our computers for you. If you send, we request you do so more than 48 hrs before your presentation. We will send you confirmation if we received (if you do not receive confirmation assume we did not receive and contact me personally). If you want to present on your own PC/Mac, please make sure you have HDMI connection (or suitable adapter with HDMI output), and stop by the podium at one of the coffee/lunch breaks prior to your talk, i.e. immediately after a previous session, to test/make sure all works. We recommend you have a backup of your presentation (also in PDF format) handy on a USB stick just in case we encounter any problems. Registration: While we do not insist on registration from our Keynote speakers, if it is within your financial means we very much appreciate this to help cover expenses for the meeting. It also comes with a 1 year membership in the International BioBrillouin Society. Any excess from conference -if we are so lucky- will also exclusively be used for funding future Society events & prizes (i.e. go to society account). Registration info can be found here: https://www.biobrillouin25.com/registration You will receive further information on the detailed conference program with talk and poster titles, etc. in the next couple of weeks. Lastly, we are trying this new mailing list thing for sending emails to multiple parties, and are not sure if some institutes block, so… If you received this e-mail please confirm with simply replying “OK” (or a thumbs up emoji) so we know that we do not need to follow up. We look forward to seeing you soon in Berlin! All the best, -Kareem On behalf of the Scientific Organizing Committee: Jochen Guck - Local Conference Chair (Max Planck Inst. for the Science of Light & MPZ für Physik und Medizin, Germany) Kareem Elsayad (Medical University of Vienna, Austria) Robert Prevedel (European Molecular Biology Laboratory - EMBL, Germany) Francesca Palombo (Exeter University, United Kingdom) Stephanie Möllmert (Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, Germany) Michael Monaghan (Trinity College Dublin, Ireland) Thorsten Hamann (Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway) Questions pertaining to the meeting should be addressed to: soc25@biobrillouin.org
