9th International BioBrillouin Conference | November 2025 - Poster
Dear all, the poster has been approved by our PR team and would be ready to go. I’ve gone through it carefully, but I’d appreciate it if you could give it a quick glance and let me know if you spot any typos or mistakes, or any design issues. I’ll fix them, and we can add Optica if that works out. Thanks so much! Hi Stephanie, What about putting the other sponsors (not just Optica - assuming they support) on poster? Maybe I misunderstand, would Optica then not serve as a Silver/Gold/Platinum sponsor but something else? (if so, what would they potentially offer and want in return?) Hi Kareem, I have included all confirmed sponsors (as mentioned on the website) on the poster. Are there any I have missed? Optica's current president (and director emeritus at our Max Planck Institute), Gerd Leuchs, has been in contact with Jochen regarding sponsorship of the BioBrillouin conference. According to him, such a request needs to be submitted to Optica in the form of a short proposal. In that proposal, I would request $4,700 (approximately €4,500), and their status (Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze) will correspond to the approved amount. The terms of accepting an optica sponsorship are as follows: 1. Organizers must publicly post a code of conduct and inform event attendees that they are expected to adhere to the highest professional standards. We offer the following language from the Optica Anti-harassment Policy and Code of Conduct as an example (https://www.optica.org/events/code_of_conduct/), but we understand that you may prefer to use your own wording. 2. Optica must be listed as a sponsor/co-sponsor of the event on the website and on all relevant event materials. (The logo will be provided upon grant approval. 3. Optica receives more requests for funding than it can fulfill, and unused/unclaimed funds will be released. Therefore, grants must be processed before the start of the meeting. 4. The following materials must be submitted to MeetingGrants@optica.org within 30 days of the event. We may use elements from your report for articles in Optica newsletters, websites, and Optics and Photonics News. a. Post-event report b. Complete attendee list with contact information, including email addresses, when permitted by law c. Event program/schedule with a list of all plenary and invited speakers (if applicable) d. Samples of event marketing materials e. Photos with captions (at least three) 5. The event must adhere to the general principle of "free movement of scientists" as outlined by the ICO Guidelines - a bona fide scientist, or engineer of any nationality or citizenship may attend.
