Re: [EXTERN] AW: [ext] [Invited-biobrillouin25] BioBrillouin 2025 program is online! / registration information
Dear Ingolf, Thanks for your email! While we normally don't like to do so, we this year kindly ask invited speakers to also register and pay the conference fee if at all possible, to help cover the meeting expenses (the last minute relocation from Harvard to Berlin meant that we also were not able to get as many sponsors and additional financing as we ideally hoped for). Hope this is not a problem. In cases of financial hardship, we might be able to make a small number of exceptions, in which case let us know. Included in the 400 EUR (300 for student) fee in addition to conference venue attendance are all meals (3 buffet lunches, 2 dinners (one banquet dinner) and all in between coffee break drinks & snacks etc.), as well as one year membership to the International BioBrillouin Society. Looking forward to seeing you in Berlin! Dear Kareem, Thanks for your explanations. However, I have an urgent deadline, so I can only attend the Thursday morning session on November 27, where I will present on in vivo MR elastography. Unfortunately, I cannot justify the conference attendance fee, including the administrative processes involved in giving a talk, to my department. Therefore, I am asking you to waive the fee.
