Hi Pierre, Hi All,

Sorry I didn’t get around to looking at this until now!

We will not know schedule until 13th October, when the final program will be assembled. As Robert also mentioned, it’s hard to say much before since have no idea how many abstracts will come in (!), and should make sure all areas are somehow represented.

For longer/demo/hands-on session prob best not to have during regular sessions, but e.g. during poster session or some off time (e.g. straight after lunch etc.).

Shared or separate talk all fine by me. Would have thought shared would be nice, but need to be in good agreement with message being portrayed and present coherent story. In such a case would recommend having a single powerpoint online that all work on. For now am fine to submit two separate and figure later (can always merge if/as needed – time between having schedule in hand and conference is > month).

All the best,

Kareem

Hi Pierre,

thanks for following up - as I mentioned before, for sure there should be a presentation about our efforts, but the format and length I don’t think we can decide or know yet. Once we have all abstracts we’ll need to put together a program with the other organizers. Please go ahead and submit your abstract (Carlo also put one in), and later we can decide whether you both speak together or separately, round table vs. demo vs. ’normal presentation’.

@Kareem, what do you think?

Best,

Robert

Hi everyone,

Any updates for the presentation of both solutions? Following my last email, I still think a round table session would be ideal, with the plan proposed in the mail I sent you one month ago:

A - Quick demonstration of work (7 minutes)

1 - How to create standard files from code

a - Integration to workflow

b - Adding attributes

c - Exporting HDF5 elements to Brim

2 - How to create standard files form GUI

3 - How to view standard files in dedicated apps

4 - How to use unified treatment from code

a - Simple example: DHO fit of spectrum from TFP

b - Changing parameters

c - Performances and errors between fit (motivation)

B - Round table where people send everything they have at us AKA exchange with public (8 minutes) with a backup of identified difficulties in case people are asleep or not interested

Kareem extended the deadline for abstracts until the 7th so maybe we could talk about the presentation end of this week?

Here is a “by default” abstract I quickly put together this morning.

Best,

Pierre

Hi Pierre,

that’s certainly a great idea - Kareem and I anyway wanted to make sure we can give this the deserved visibility at the BioBrillouin conference. Ideally one of us could give a general presentation about the project, and if the programs permits, a round table or practical with concrete demo/QA would be a great addition. Let’s try to make this happen although we can’t promise as we don’t know how dense the program will be. Abstract submission deadline is Oct 1, and 1-2 weeks after I believe we should have a concrete program up. I suggest to pick up on this the latest then!

Best,

Robert

Hi everyone,

I think it could be good to create either a presentation of our work together or even a roundtable session for the BioBrillouin conference. I believe the easiest to fit in the program is a standard presentation that we can call “Round table” so a 15 minute format.

By default I would split the presentation as follows:

If you are OK with it, the best way to prepare for it would be to list the steps for using the apps with screen captures of results so we are sure we all get same result, and then decide on one computer with everything on it and that works well we could use for the presentation.

Best,

Pierre
