Meeting tomorrow for scheduling of meeting

Hi All, Quick reminder that we have meeting tomorrow @5pm CET to discuss schedule (link below). Robert and myself have something nice and logically coherent together that we believe respects reviews, while also considering politics of having diverse presentations and representations from different labs/fields (while also making sure there is enough time for breaks and socializing 😊). I will try and put together in clear understandable format course of tomorrow and can discuss when we meet. If you cannot make meeting please send me any strong opinions before so we can discuss. As it stands we have plant session (incl. abstract from Thorstens lab) and put abstract from Michael’s lab in Medical session. We kick off with Jochen session starting with Ana Taubenberger and ending with Stephanie. We, in addition to Medical and Plant Sessions, have Theory & Interpretations session (two parts), Technology session, Cells to Tissue session, Stimulated Brillouin Scattering Session, Diverse Elastography session, and Hot/Emerging topics session. Hi SOC, Thanks for those that sent ratings of abstract. I didn’t get anything yet from Stephanie and Francesca… So if you manage to send before 11am Monday (today) would be great. Will meet with Robert then to try to throw together a first draft based on these. Our next meeting is on Tuesday 14th October 5-7pm (CET) -- hopefully won’t take that long though (!), where will present proposed schedule and finalize, and agree on next steps. BioBrilouin 2025 abstracts

Hi all, So, you should have all been granted access to abstracts submitted (if not please contact Michael). We now need to rank them and make schedule. We have many more abstracts that want Oral presentations than we can reasonably fit. We can fit maybe 15-16 max. So please take a read through abstracts during weekend and send me your ratings by end of Monday 10am (sorry everything is so fast paced). – via the attached template provided. We only included ones that chose “oral only”… but if you find ones that opted for e.g. oral-or-poster please add. Robert and myself will throw together first draft of program based on your feedback and trying to balance things Monday at I think 10am or there abouts. Will then finalize in meeting on 14th Nov (5-7pm I recall) and try get a final version of program by end of that meeting. If you can’t make that meeting please share opinions per email to this list. Hi All, When going through the abstracts I noticed one of our abstracts submitted for oral was missing. I discussed with Michael on Fri, and this is presumably since it was named exactly the same as a second abstract submitted by us and was thus accidentally removed as an assumed duplicate (since duplicates were removed) or else overwritten (hope not the latter, since then this might have occurred more broadly to others). I attach for you the missing abstract, and also add this to the excel file also attached. I understand people were asked to name abstracts a certain way, but next meeting we might want to more strongly insist naming of abstracts in very particular format e.g. “Surname_1.pdf” (in so far as saying will not consider abstracts not named this way) - since otherwise sometimes trying to re-find an abstract you just looked at is a bit like this Matching-Pairs memory card game! 😊 All the best, Kareem
